Did you know that dragonflies are also faeries?

This enchanted woodland setting was my first venture into acrylics on canvas. It was a delight to sketch and then to paint.

A gloriously backlit forest, where warm sunset light filtering through the trees reaches this sweet faery who is laying among her mushroom friends, while playful dragonflies twine her hair flying around her and towards the light.
