This is a group of small artworks inspired by the fun loving artist Jane Davenport http://janedavenport.com/, while attending her classes in 2011 and 2012.

Jane’s happy and spontaneous disposition combines teaching of mixed media techniques with encouraging thoughts and her light hearted approach to help free our inhibitions to draw and paint, bringing our inner child to play.

A lovely effect of a textured background from Jane’s ‘Supplies Me’ class.   I had never used this technique nor did I imagine that it would be so much fun and the results so rewarding.

From Jane’s “Supplies Me” ‘body drawing class’ was born this colourful little painting, also incorporating the textured background for the coral reef.
